Settling In Sessions

Before your child starts at Woodland Day Nursery, you will have the option of a home visit and your child will attend a minimum of three settling in sessions at the nursery. The settling in sessions help get your child familiar with our nursery environment and begin to create bonds with their allocated key worker and other team members and children at the nursery. They also help your child to get used to short periods of time at the nursery before building up to a full session. During the first settle, we will ask for you to attend so that we can gather the necessary information about your child.

We are flexible in our approach and can arrange more settling in sessions if required to support your child to feel happy and secure in our setting.
